Second episode of my trip to discover Sardinia (HERE you can find the first one), today I take you to 2 of the most beautiful beaches on the whole island.
Where to sleep to move easily? Cagliari, we stayed at the central Hotel Flora for 2 nights. Now I’ll explain why.
In case you decide to opt for the plane to reach Sardinia, surely the flight fares for Cagliari are the cheapest.
Being these our last two days on the island we chose to stay in a place that would allow us to be at the seaside the all day. I took the flight back straight in a swimsuite 😉
We chose a junior suite (with a hydromassage shower) right in the heart of one of the largest cities in Sardinia, in the evening you can choose between a lot of restaurants to enjoy the day’s fishing. Among these I recommend Stella Marina di Montecristo, super typical and authentic … there is not even the menu, but a fish so fresh and well cooked is rare to find.
Thank you Hannah and Paolo for making us discover it, I will never stop telling you how much I love this job for the opportunity that gives me to have friends all over the world (I had known them in our JapanTour last summer).
But let’s go back to the smell of sea. After a hearty breakfast with handmade juices and Nutella hearts on the sliced slices we go to:
One of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches of the island, just over 1 hour from Cagliari. The color of the water is on the shades of the emerald, bathing a sandy tongue that looks like a lunar landscape. Here the rock has more intense tones than the east coast, for a moment I thought I was in the desert.
This area of Sardinia, to the southwest is really wild, made of peaks of cliffs, sand dunes and brilliant green vegetation.
When you arrive at Cala Domestica, welcome you to a small beach, equipped only in one area, if you cross the tunnel formed by rocks on the rocks, you will see an even smaller and special cove in your eyes. We stopped here.
SU GIUDEU, Chia Beach
The next day, our last one, was for Su Giudeu, the final part of Chia’s long sandy beach, one hour from Cagliari.
Decisively less wild and much more equipped than Cala Domestica, the last hours spent relaxing between a drone and another flight, a sea ice cream and a really amazing water.
Honor to the beloved flamingos that this summer were the real protagonists. But I must say that the Sardinian ones are really shy 😉
I shoot them in Cagliari going to Chia.
