This is the story of a corner of paradise where worries and urgencies dissolve in the air.
This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been in and the one where I certainly felt most pampered: the TRS Yucatan, part of the Palladium Hotel Group, is the jewel in the Akumal area (between Tulum and Playa del Carmen).
An experience, that of the all inclusive of luxury, which I recommend to everyone to live at least once in a lifetime for a special occasion (a honeymoon, an important anniversary, etc).
We spent the last 3 nights of our trip to Mexico here and felt like I was living my honeymoon with Luca.
Perhaps also due to the fact that the TRS Yucatan is an adults only, dedicated therefore only to adults.
But the Gran Palladium also houses another 3 hotels where families can stay in comfort: Colonial, Kantenah and White Sand Resort & Spa.
A flûte of champagne (the first of many) while we are taken the electronic bracelet that will be our greatest ally and off to discover this corner of paradise.
I loved the layout of the hotel in respect of the natural context in which it is inserted. The beautiful suites are located throughout the territory and harmoniously inserted into the jungle.
Our butler (each villa has its own 24h available) welcomes us with a warm welcome and introduces us to the fantastic world of TRS.
Through the maxi screen and smart TV it is possible to choose the options and preferences of the room service (including lobster all inclusive) and through the portal that can be consulted from mobile it is possible to book 1 of the many hotel restaurants even while you are out for excursion.
Furthermore, the convenience of the electronic bracelet is that it acts as an entry key into the room. I don’t know about you, but I constantly lose my hotel cards, so it was great to go out without the thought of having to remember it.
Among the verdant bush of the jungle you can see the fresh and salt water pools that look to the Caribbean Sea.
At sunset, a walk along the promenade that harmoniously follows the waves is a must; you arrive at the wedding chapel where you can celebrate the ceremonies with one of the most beautiful horizons ever.
Through golf carts you can move easily, but we have often preferred to walk among the alternative jungle paths or close to the sea to discover many little gems, like hammocks that look to infinity, hidden pools and sight: flamingos, iguanas and opossums.
The food offer is truly incredible, with more than 10 restaurants to choose from, the Gran Palladium really surprised me.
Depending on the desire of the day you can opt for the various cuisines of the world: Japanese, Thai, Argentina, Mediterranean, Mexican, Italian, etc.
Also inside the hotel there is the restaurant n 1 on Trip Advisor in the Playa del Carmen area: Chic Cabaret & Restaurant.
I don’t usually trust this review platform, but I have to tell you that it was really an incredible evening.
A super tasting dinner with a selection of wines and champagnes and a truly impressive cabaret musical show.
I recommend you spend an evening here even if you are not a guest of the hotel, it is really worth it!
There was a precise moment when I opened my eyes and turned to Luca: “You know we’re in heaven, right ?!”.
He nodded his head.
