Maybe you will not believe what I’m about to tell you, but it’s the pure truth: these photos were all taken with a mobile phone.
Specifically this is the new LG G6, recently launched on the market and already rewarded by readers.
I’ve been able to test it in the last few days and take it to the wonders of my hometown and the enchanted forest in Flanders, where I was last week and I will talk about it very soon.
But now I tell you a bit better about this phone, the winner of the title of the best smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.
Its great strength is certainly the camera:
– Wide-angle camera:
Both the back and front cameras are equipped with this specific technique that really makes the difference. How often do you happen to have a narrow field in front of a marvelous monument or to be a group of too many friends to make your selfie good?
Wide-angle functionality allows you to have a much wider view, leaving no columns or friends out;)
The rear camera comes up to 125 degrees with 13 Mega Pixels, while the front camera has a 100 degree wide angle with 5 Mega Pixels.
For the first time I managed to capture the wonderful Canopo of Villa Adriana in all its splendor.
– Professional shots with manual mode
This is one of the features that approaches the Smartphone more and more to a reflex. You can manually manage settings (ISO, aperture, timing) as if you have a camera. You can also shoot in uncompressed RAW format to work on shots without losing quality! In shadow-light conditions (such as sunshine at Villa Adriana) it is very useful to manually handle the shutter, solving once in a while the annoying shadow areas or the “flash shoot” sky.
– Large display + compact and handy design
With a 5.7-inch screen and full vision display the edges are minimized. Design is just one of the reasons why this phone has received so many awards (even 30) as soon as it’s launched. Compact and easy to handle with a single button located behind the phone, exactly where you place your hand to support it canonically. Optimized for single-handed use, for those who in everyday life need a free arm to do two things at one and the same time.
– Resistant, solid and optimized
When I’m traveling, and not only, I happen to really jump to the limit for electronic devices. Water-like as in Greece, or on the edge of the precipice as on the cliffs of Moher. I often feared that my cellphone or reflex would fall into the water. The new LG resists underwater for up to half an hour at a maximum depth of 1.5 meters.
A nice turn for a fad like me, is sealed against dust and infiltration. It is also more resistant to impact at the ever-injured corners. Glass is also more resistant to scratches.
– Perfect social photos
The square camera makes it possible to create very imaginative images for sharing on Instagram or other social networks. Also, there are many “goodies” that facilitate the realization and sharing our moments to remember. With Match Shot, you can combine two shots into one image, you want 4? Here comes the Grid Shot option, 4 photos in one image to create super collages. Images ready for sharing thanks to the Snapshot feature: Snap a photo and an instant preview appears to see if the shot satisfies or needs to be repeated.
– Professional HD Videos
The latest specification to be mentioned is the ability to produce manual video (such as photos) with HI-Fi stabilizer and audio.
Additionally, editing is simplified by the ability to pause the video and resume it as much as we are hitting it.
I’ve experienced this feature and soon I’ll show you the result on my social! I wait for you!
