#CaliforniaDreamBig: LACMA ( Los Angeles County Museum of Art).

Los Angeles, secondo giorno del mio #CaliforniaDreamBig con Visit California, Master Consulting e Air Canada.

La sveglia poco dopo l’alba nel mio comodissimo letto al Mama Shelter con una tiepida sensazione di spaesamento.

Mi succede ogni volta che riposo in un nuovo luogo  e apro gli occhi prima di aver effettivamente attivato la testa. A metà tra il sogno e la realtà intercetto qualche raggio di luce trapassare le tapparelle della mia grande vetrata; non vedo l’ora di spostarle per scoprire cosa si cela dall’altra parte.

Accade anche a voi di alzarvi la mattina, sopratutto quando siete in viaggio, e come prima cosa voler verificare che tempo fa?

Solitamente a Novembre, nella mia città,  la risposta è quasi certa: nuvoloso e grigio.

A Los Angeles invece splendeva un bellissimo sole, 25 gradi ed era la mattina del 20 Novembre.

Il primo giorno, ancora tentennante sulle temperature esterne e non certa del tempo che avrei incontrato durante la giornata, ho optato per un denim lungo pentendomene fino al tramonto.

Quella mattina invece ho scelto di indossare il mio vestitino in denim di Levi’s, la scelta migliore che potessi fare ed il piccolo sogno realizzato di aver le gambe scoperte a cavallo con l’inverno.

Appuntamento nella hall e dritti verso la Walk of Fame per una colazione da Starbucks con ai piedi le mie nuove Asics Galaxy di una comodità estrema.

Il programma della giornata prevede successivamente la visita al LACMA ( Los Angeles County Museum of Art), un museo contenete opere provenienti da ogni parte del mondo. Ho apprezzato moltissimo le istallazioni di arte contemporanea all’esterno della struttura. La foresta urbana di lampioni probabilmente l’avrete già notata in molte foto.

Il LACMA è il museo più “instagrammato” al mondo!

Il contenuto in opere del complesso è veramente notevole, più di 10000, tra arte araba, iraniana, giapponese, indiana ed anche nostrana. Purtroppo non ho potuto fotografare l’interessantissima area dedicata a Picasso, ma è stata davvero un’emozione ammirare le opere studiate fin da piccola.

Dopo esserci divertiti come bambini in mezzo all’installazione di “Spaghetti” la nostra meta è stata alla volta di cibo reale nel carinissimo ristorante del museo.

Uno dei panini con hambuger più buoni che abbia mai mangiato e dritti verso Palm Springs.

Il traffico ci ha fatto arrivare quando ormai era già buio, ma l’estrema stanchezza non ha fermato la nostra curiosità e la voglia di esplorare questo nuovo mondo.

Cambio veloce e via verso il mercatino che ogni venerdì si tiene a Palm Springs. Una passeggia per smaltire la gustosissima cena del nostro hotel ( il Riviera ) e poi ci incamminiamo verso il mondo dei sogni. O ci siamo già da svegli?

Los Angeles, the second day of my #CaliforniaDreamBig with Visit California, Master Consulting and Air Canada.
The alarm shortly after dawn in my comfortable bed at Mama Shelter with a warm feeling of disorientation.
It happens to me every time I rest in a new place and I open my eyes before I have actually turned on my head. Halfway between the dream and reality, I intercept a few rays of light pierce the shutters of my big  window; I can not wait to move to find out what is on the other side.
It happens to you to get up in the morning, especially when you are traveling, and the first thing you want to check the weather?
Usually in November, in my town, the answer is almost certain: cloudy and gray.
In Los Angeles instead sun was shining brilliantly, and it was 25 degrees on the morning of November 20.
The first day, still wavering on outdoor temperatures and not some of the time that I met during the day, I opted for a denim long jeans until sunset.
That morning instead I chose to wear my dress in denimby Levi’s, the best choice I could do and the little dream come true to have bare legs riding through the winter.
Meet in the lobby and straight to the Walk of Fame for a breakfast at Starbucks with my new Asics Galaxy of an extreme comfort.
The program includes a visit later to LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art), a museum containing works from all over the world. I thoroughly enjoyed the contemporary art installations outside the structure. The urban forest of lampposts you’ve probably noticed in many photos.

The content in the works of the complex is remarkable, more than 10,000, between art Arab, Iranian, Japanese, Indian and even italian. Unfortunately I could not photograph the interesting area dedicated to Picasso, but it was really a thrill to admire the works studied since I was child.
After we enjoyed as kids in the middle of the installation of “Spaghetti” our goal was at a time of real food in cute museum restaurant.
One of the most delicious hamburger I’ve ever eaten and straight to Palm Springs.
The traffic got us when it was already dark, but the extreme fatigue did not stop our curiosity and desire to explore this new world.
Quick change and off to the market that is held every Friday in Palm Springs. A walk to work off the delicious dinner at our hotel ( Riviera ) and then we walk to the world of dreams. Either we’re already awake?
