Marrakech travel tips. Dar Les Cigognes.

Con il passare del tempo i ricordi positivi si rafforzano nella mente, sopratutto quelli legati ad un viaggio.

In questi giorni molto intensi una delle esperienze più belle che porto nel cuore degli ultimi mesi è stata quella in Marocco.

Un paese che è rimasto “vero”, autentico, dove la contaminazione turistica non ha intaccato usi e costumi.

Siamo effettivamente in un periodo storico in cui viaggiare è diventato complicato, perchè la paura sta diventando un pandemia, un po’ come un virus che continua a diffondersi.

Non vi nascondo quindi che in molti mi avevano sconsigliato di andare. Bene, sono stata totalmente felice di aver seguito il mio cuore ed essermi buttata.

Sinceramente non c’è stato neanche un secondo in cui io e la mia bella Nunzia ci siamo sentite impaurite, nonostante fossimo due ragazze da sole.

Vi avevo già raccontato la prima parte del nostro viaggio qui. Oggi, in un’afosa giornata di luglio vi racconto del secondo Riad in cui abbiamo soggiornato a Marrakech: il boutique hotel Dar Les Cigognes.

Il nome è già intuitivo della particolarità del luogo. Proprio nel cuore della Medina è situato davanti alle antiche mura che la racchiudono. Su di esse una moltitudine di nidi di cicogne.

Avete mai visto la casa di questi bellissimi esseri ” porta bambini ” ?

Io sinceramente no e non ero neanche preparata al fatto che li avrei scovati sulle alte mura di Marrakech.

Ad accoglierci nel Riad un buonissimo tè marocchino alla menta sapientemente versato e profumo di rose a rapire l’olfatto.

L’acqua che scorre lentamente nella fontana davanti a noi e la pace di un’altra piccola oasi nella caotica medina.

Un cambio veloce e corriamo ad esplorare quello che secondo me è il punto di forza della struttura: una magnifica terrazza panoramica regno dei fiori.

E qui l’emozione dei nidi di cicogne a pochi metri da noi, così maestosi, così spontanei, così lontani dalla realtà italiana. Non riuscivo a staccargli gli occhi e smettere di fotografarli.

Ma un luogo magico ci attendeva, poco distante dal Dar Les Cigognes si trovano i magici Giardini Majorelle che vi mostrerò prestissimo.

Intanto, però, voglio finire di raccontarvi questa storia. Cala la sera e le lanterne si accendono, una cena a lume di candela ci aspetta nel rinomato ristornate dell’hotel: Salt Marrakech.

Degustazione di piatti gourmet autoctoni ed un calice di vino bianco accompagnano la nostra ultima serata in Africa.

Nunzia ha il volo all’alba, io invece ho qualche ora al mattino per esplorare ancora il souk, il mercato tipico.

E’ stato strano svegliarmi in un altro continente con la consapevolezza di esser sola, ma allo stesso tempo ho percepito una grande energia, sapevo che quello sarebbe stato tempo solo mio, solo per me.

Così attraverso il grande portale con la mano di Fatima dell’hotel ed incontro la gentilissima proprietaria, si offre di accompagnarmi nella ricerca di una gioielleria.

Credo non ci sia niente di più bello dell’assaporare un posto attraverso gli occhi di chi ci è nato e lo conosce come le proprie tasche, per questo vi consiglio di optare per una guida locale. Così in una calma mattina attraversiamo gli stretti vicoli del colore caldo della terra bruciata al sole.

Un’ultima visita tra le mille spezie e ci imbattiamo in qualcosa di veramente unico.

Una bassa porticina nasconde uno dei luoghi della quotidianità: un forno. Ogni giorno le famiglie portano l’impasto del proprio pane a cuocere. Poi con un segno speciale, ogni filone rimane segnato con un marchio di riconoscimento del proprietario.

Ricordate quando vi ho raccontato che le fotografie non sono ben accette?

E’ buon uso lasciare una mancia e chiedere prima. Così con 50 centesimi di euro hanno acconsentito a lasciarmi scattare, divertiti ed incuriositi hanno creato per me pose e trovato espedienti per far riuscir gli scatti al meglio.

Vi lascio al risultato di un angolo del mio cuore.

Day by day the positive memories grow stronger in the mind, especially those linked to traveling.
In these days very intense one of the best experiences in my heart of the last few months has been to Morocco.
A country that has remained “true”, genuine, where the tourist contamination did not affect customs.
We are indeed in a time when travel became difficult, because the fear is becoming a pandemic, a bit ‘like a virus that continues to spread.
I will not conceal that so many had advised me to not go. Well, I was totally happy that I followed my heart and myself thrown.
Honestly there was not even a second in which my beautiful Nunzia and I feel afraid, even though we were two girls alone.
I had already told the first part of our trip here. Today, in a hot July day I will tell you about the second Riad we stayed in Marrakech: the boutique hotel Dar Les Cigognes.
The name is already intuitively of the particularity of the place. Right in the heart of the Medina it is located in front of the ancient walls that enclose it. On them a multitude of storks’ nests.
Have you ever seen the house of these beautiful beings “Child bringing”?
I really do not, and I was not even prepared for the fact that I found them on the high walls of Marrakech.
To welcome in the Riad a delicious Moroccan tea with mint and expertly poured perfume of roses to kidnap smell.
The water flowing slowly in the fountain in front of us and the peace of another small oasis in the busy medina.
A quick change and we run to explore what I think is the strength of the structure: a magnificent panoramic terrace kingdom of flowers.
And here the excitement of the stork nests a few meters from us, so majestic, so spontaneous, so far from the Italian reality. I could not put my eyes away and stop to photograph.
But a magical place waiting for us, not far from Dar Les Cigognes are the magical Majorelle Gardens which I will show you soon.
Meanwhile, however, I want to finish this story. It becomes evening and the lanterns are lit, a candlelight dinner awaits us in the renowned hotel restraunt Salt Marrakech.
Tasting of autochthonous gourmet dishes and a glass of white wine accompanying our last evening in Africa.
Nunzia has the flight at dawn, but I have a few hours in the morning to explore again the souk, the typical market.
It was strange to wake up in another continent with the knowledge to be alone, but at the same time I felt a lot of energy, I knew that this would be my only time, just for me.
So through the big portal with the hand of Fatima and I met the very kind owner, it offers to accompany me in the search for a jewelry store.
I believe there is nothing more beautiful than to enjoy a place through the eyes of one who was born there and knows it inside out, so I recommend you to opt for a local guide. So in a calm morning we cross the narrow alleys of the warm color of  the sun.
One last visit to the thousand spices and we run into something truly unique.
A low door hides one of the everyday places: an oven. Every day, families bring the dough to bake their own bread. Then with a special sign, each strand is marked with an identification of the trademark owner.
Do you remember when I told you that the photographs are not well accepted?
A good use to give a tip and ask first. So with 50 euro cents they agreed to let me shoot, with fun and curiosity they have created for me poses and found expedient to give me the shots at best.
I leave the outcome of this corner of my heart.
