The last year was really amazing, intense and absolutely unique … so much travelling that I get a nomination as the best travel blogger at the MacchiaNera Awards. I leave HERE the link to vote, I need your support !!!
For my summer holidays I needed a moment of relaxation and sea life.
Not having many days to share with my boyfriend, I chose an Italian destination among the most beautiful in the world: Sardinia.
I must admit, with some shame, that for me was the first time in this crystal-clear island.
We decided to head southwards, definitely less crowded but no less beautiful.
This is the story of the days spent at Villasimìus at Pullman Timi Ama, a beautiful sandy beach resort overlooking the sea.
At my arrival I never thought to find a rich flamingo colony to populate the nature reserve nearby hotel, a real dream come true.
And then the long white beach, famous as one of the most beautiful in Sardinia.
IN THE MORNING
But I start from the singing birds in the morning (and lots of parrots) between bougainvillea and colorful donuts by the pool, our day begins like this!
Immediately after the direction is the beach, I suggest you to take a small stroll down to the tower that overlooks Porto Giunco (the final part of the bay of Villasimius), you will have an amazing view from above that will give you a complete idea of the magic of the place.
A small piece of land wet on both sides by an incredible sea, ranging from the lagoon that flamingos have chosen as a home.
in the afternoon – Thalassa sea & spa
Late afternoon is dedicated to the Spa and Thalassotherapy (based on the healing of the sea climate), there is also a salty room, I had never been there … really charming . The salt is sprayed in the air and inspiring it has a purifying effect.
In the Evening – Ginepri’s Restaurant
But my favorite part of the day comes: the sunset! The magical hours to devote to absolute relaxation, a glass of Vermentino in hand, the white beach that absorbs the sun colors and an unbelievable Sardinian gourmet dinner at Restaurant I Ginepri.
Casualness wanted us to meet the wine producer (Azienda Vinicola Cherchi) who accompanied our tasting and myrtle at the end of course (did you know that there is also white myrtle ?!).
Believe me if I tell you that leaving this place has been really melancholy, but the next Sardinian stop is waiting for us!
