Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos.

321 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. An absence due to lack of technical support,  can you forgive me?
I’ll be back with the fifth day from the white and blue world  of Santorini.
The beach of Mesa Pigadia, the sunset in Santo Wines and a ride in the traditional village of Pyrgos.
I Start from the beginning. The area of Akrotiri, in the south of the island, is the best in my opinion for the beaches, here there are the most typical and less crowded.
To reach Mesa Pigadia, along a dirt path (with the scooter), the landscape  is lunar, very special.
Among the dunes you can see the vines typical of Santorini, the plants on the ground very different from our pergolas and very white lilies.
Just arrived at the beach a tavern overlooking the sea is the sentinel, its colors are those of Greece and even its tastes. A man is a guardian to the beach, behind his shoulder the home of a life and in front of the eyes and the sea.
The establishment of the beach is very old-fashioned but unfortunately in Santorini is really uncomfortable being on the ground, the sun is hot and the sand (in this case stones) scorching.
I took a long walk just arrived, only a moment for me and for my eyes. Along the cliff, within the rock are excavated dwellings of fishermen.
The boat a few meters away and a man just returned from fishing lying on the cobblestones to rest with his stick. He stares at me, I wanted to take a picture, all his life would be in it. The house, the boat, the sea.
I return from my him, as always amazed by my escapes to go on ahead.
Lunch hour and head to the tavern of Mesa Pigadia; a lady welcomes us with a big smile and takes us with her in the kitchen to make us choose the fresh fish, to be enjoyed by our meal.
A large shell was still alive lying next to the loot of the fisherman.
This is the place where I felt more at home, cuddled by the smiles of a family-run tavern, where I ate better and spent less. The eyes of the sea and a gentle breeze to lull a perfect day.
We move from the sea to the traditional village of Pyrgos. It was really amazing in terms of beauty and authenticity.
This is where I saw the true Santorini, one of the people, away from the big luxuries and tourism of the main centers.
IT well worth a visit.
At home for a shower and off into the sunset – and a drink of course. Santo Wines is a wine producer in Santorini that has created its own local with  a great caldera view where to enjoy a good glass of wine.
A cup is about 3 Euros, but you can also do multiple tastings and visit the factory for the production of wine. Here we we took  the photos of  the outfit, in the bottom of the post.
A white desire, with a long skirt perfect for cool temperatures of the evening on the island and a necklace tattoo by Goldsin.
This is the end of the day, toasting together with our friends in front of one of the most beautiful  view on the planet.311 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 30 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 29 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 28 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 27 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 26 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 25 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 24 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 23 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 221 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 211 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 20 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 191 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos.181 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 171 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 161 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 151 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 131 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 121 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 111 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 102 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 92 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos. 82 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos.63 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos.53 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos.33 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos.72 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos.42 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos.22 Santorini travel tips #5 : the beach of Mesa Pigadia, a sunset in Santo Wines and the typical village of Pyrgos.
