#WhereToGo : Val d’Orcia in Tuscany

Ci sono giorni fatti per vivere il doppio.  Riempiti al massimo per non rinunciare a nulla.

Così ho colmato una tiepida giornata di Aprile, anche se detto così sembra quasi offensivo, perchè in realtà stavo facendo una delle cose che in assoluto preferisco: riempire gli occhi di bello .

Questa è la seconda parte alla scoperta della Val d’Orcia in Toscana.

Abbiamo scelto come base, dove alloggiare, San Quirico d’Orcia, un piccolo borgo caratterizzato da uno dei panorami più belli che si possa ammirare delle colline toscane.

Vi si giunge attraverso la Via del Vino d’Orcia, ogni curva, ogni svolta desta stupore per la bellezza dei paesaggi.

Spesso lungo la strada, inoltre, si incontrano luoghi dove fare assaggi di vino.

Sinceramente però mi ha lasciato senza parole l’alba del mattino di ritorno, quando i paesaggi erano avvolti da una fine nebbiolina quasi impalpabile che rendeva tutto più soffice e ancor più vellutato, se possibile.

I campi al risveglio e le colline che piano piano divengono sempre più verdi illuminate dal sole, gli stormi sui campi e lo stupore di incontrare i faggiani con i loro coloratissimi piumaggi lungo la via.

Per quanto riguarda San Quirico d’Orcia, consigliatissimo il Palazzo del Capitano, un albergo e relais all’interno di una residenza d’Epoca del XIV Sec con l’attiguo ristorante inserito nella guida Michelin, ma allo stesso tempo con prezzi veramente modici (Trattoria del Vecchio Forno). Sinceramente ancora sto sognando la pasta con crema di pistacchi, porro e prosciutto croccante.

Al calar del sole ho voluto assaporare al massimo l’atmosfera dei paesaggi che circondano questo angolo di paradiso, per cui in macchina ci siamo diretti verso Pienza alla ricerca della Cappella di Vitaleta, la sentinella delle colline toscane ( la vedete nella prima foto).

Non è stato semplicissimo trovarla, per cui occhi ben acuti e la trovate dopo un paio di km sulla destra in direzione Pienza.

Purtroppo non è possibile avvicinarsi più di tanto perchè si trova in un terreno privato, ma è molto suggestivo poter ammirare il paesaggio naturale e un elemento artificiale combinarsi in tutta armonia.

L’outfit di cui vi ho mostrato una preview nella prima parte del post, è semplice e comodo, per affrontare una lunga giornata, senza rinunciare ad un tocco glam.

Il bracciale, fa parte della nuova collezione di Bijou Brigitte ed è caratterizzato da una finitura anticata, che va a simulare l’effetto: in fondo al mar, amore a prima vista quando l’ho notato alla presentazione del brand.

There are days made to live twice. Filled to the maximum in order  to not give up anything.
So I filled a warm day in April, even though that it seems almost insulting, because in reality I was doing one of the things I absolutely prefer: fill my eyes with beautiful things.
This is the second part to the discovery of the Val d’Orcia in Tuscany.
We chose as a base, where to stay, San Quirico d’Orcia, a small village characterized by one of the most beautiful scenery you can admire of the Tuscan hills.
It can be reached through the Via del Vino d’Orcia, every curve, every turn are astonished by the beauty of the landscapes.
Often along the way, also, you can meet places to do wine tastings.
Honestly it left me speechless the dawn of the last morning when the landscapes were enveloped in a fine mist almost intangible that made everything softer and more velvety, if possible.
The fields to the awakening and the hills that slowly become more and more green-lit by the sun, the crowds on the fields and wonder to meet pheasants with their colorful feathers along the way.
As for San Quirico d’Orcia, I recommend the Palazzo del Capitano, a hotel and relais inside a residence  of the fourteenth century with the adjoining restaurant inserted in the Michelin guide, but at the same time with very low price ( Trattoria del Vecchio Forno). Honestly I’m still dreaming of the pasta with pistachio cream, leeks and crispy prosciutto.
At sunset I wanted to savor in the best way the atmosphere of the landscapes that surround this piece of heaven, so in the car we headed to Pienza in search of the Chapel of Vitaleta, the sentinel of the Tuscan hills (see it in the first photo).
It was not easy to find, so keep your eyes and found it after a couple of miles on the right in the direction of Pienza.
Unfortunately it is not possible to approach that much because it is located on private land, but it is very impressive to admire the natural and artificial elements combine in harmony throughout.
The outfits that I showed you a preview of the first part of the post, it is simple and comfy, to address a long day, without giving up a touch of glam.
The bracelet is part of the new collection of Bijou Brigitte and is characterized by an antique finish, which goes to simulate the effect: in the bottom of the sea, love at first sight when I noticed at the presentation of the brand.
