A Weekend in Tivoli: what to see and where to eat.

From time immemorial I have wanted to dedicate a page in my diary to my favorite place: Tivoli.

It is certainly the city in the world that I know the most, I have called this place home for decades and I can certainly provide you with some tips from a true local!

This is my guide for a weekend in Tivoli: the unmissable places to visit.

A couple of years ago I made a video, together with my friend and super Filmmaker Matteo Ermeti, which could describe a corner of the world older than Rome with images and suggestions. It was a great success with a lot of ARTICLE in La Repubblica!

THIS instead is my speech dedicated to the unmissable places for summer 2020 on Sky Tg24 (I chose to talk about my favorite place: Tivoli).

Not many know that the history of Tibur (ancient name of Tivoli) is lost in time until the archaic settlement of 1215 BC, it is older than Rome!

Fairytale nature in Trentino: a Valsugana to be discovered.

I spent days and days dreaming of unspoiled nature, watching the sunsets follow from my window and the sky tinged with beautiful colors.

I dreamed immense expanses of greenery, the mountains acting as sentinels and really breathing.

When the opportunity arose to experience Trentino during summer, thanks to the local tourism agency, I was immediately enthusiastic.

I had been there as a child and had memories of painted landscapes that brought to mind the illustrations of the fairy tales that my parents read to me before going to sleep.

On a fiery morning in mid-August we find ourselves catapulted to the station in Rome waiting for a train that would take us to Trento with about 4.30.

Winter escape to Jamaica: discovering the Caribbean island of Bob Marley.

Caribbean are my favorite place in the world, they have the instantaneous ability to make me feel the sun inside.

An overwhelming and multi-faceted culture, lush nature, crystal clear sea and long beaches of fine sand.

Last December, just before Christmas, I had the opportunity to discover one of the most loved islands: Jamaica, thanks to the Tourist Board and the Alidays tour operator through which you can live exactly our trip!

The best time to visit is right between December and April, when the rains are less frequent. In reality, the climate is tropical, so temperatures are high all year round (between 20 and 30 degrees).

The official language of the island is English (being part of the Commonwealth) and the American dollar is accepted everywhere (even if the official currency is the Jamaican dollar).

The strong point? Reggae culture.

Let’s go to the discovery of the Caribbean island of Bob Marley!

Where to find summer on January? My travel diary of Seychelles.

Welcome to the first part of my story about a dream trip: the Seychelles.

These islands of the African continent represent a reality not far from us (Europe), where it is possible to  find summer all year round.

January for me is one of the most difficult months, I really think I’m not genetically programmed for the cold, so I opted for a romantic getaway with my bf.

After the first time in a tropical country (Caribbean last July) I think I developed a sort of dependence on this kind of reality.

The felling of the sun all year round, white beaches with silky sand and people who do not know the stress, always ready to offer you a smile.

I found this magical dimension also in Seychelles.

It must be said that we were not very lucky with the weather (at the end of January), but here it’s normal to find rainy days. The temperatures, however, are always  between 25-30 degrees so it will always be possible to stay in the pool or sea.
